he format of this class is all instruction and geared to absolute beginners or players who need a refresher to return to the game. The focus is on proper grips, footwork, and basic stroke mechanics. The forehand, backhand, serve, volley, lob and overhead are covered, as well as rules, scoring and playing positions for singles and doubles. Rain dates scheduled July 11 and August 29 at the same session time; all other rain dates arranged by instructor. Bring a racket, water bottle and two cans of tennis balls to the first class.
