This addictive and fun game provides great exercise in a social setting, combining elements of ping pong, tennis and badminton. Start learning or improve your pickleball game through practice in an open play format for players rated 2.5 or below according to the USA Pickleball Association Player Skill Ratings rubric. Basic instruction and a rudimentary overview of rules can be provided for beginners. Limited enrollment and pre-registration required. Courts provided. We recommend you bring your own balls and paddle, but we do have enough available for new players who might not yet have equipment. No rain makeup dates; players are refunded for any cancelled days. Cancellations announced via “Remind” text/app messaging by 4 pm (see receipt for details); otherwise a play time decision is made or play is at your own risk. Register for each day you plan to attend. If you can no longer attend, you can cancel up to five business days in advance and receive a refund minus a $5 processing fee, or you can find a sub. Registered players are provided a sub list to help find subs, should they have a need. To become a sub, register for the “Pickleball Open Play Sub List” (442997 A) at no cost. No waitlist available; if a day is full, players should join the sub list.
