The Ohio Department of Aging is encouraging communities to take part in ODA’s 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls campaign. 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls is an annual campaign to encourage Ohioans of all ages to walk as least one mile during the month of September. To contribute to this campaign, the City of Upper Arlington is hosting a local walk at Thompson Park to help raise awareness about older adult falls. Join the UA CARES team for a friendly walk to add steps towards this campaign. Afterall, regular exercise is one of many things people can do to lower their risk of falling. Registrants receive a complimentary pedometer to track their steps and will report them after the walk. Please register by Friday, September 20th.
