The format of this class is all instruction and geared to absolute beginners or players who need a refresher to return to the game. The focus is on proper grips, footwork and basic stroke mechanics. The forehand, backhand, serve, volley, lob and overhead are covered, as well as rules, scoring and playing positions for singles and doubles. Rain dates arranged by instructor. Bring a racket, water bottle and two cans of new tennis balls to the first class.
