Pre-Swim Team (6 Week Program)
Pre-requisites: Swimmers should already be able to: swim front and back crawl 50 yds., elementary backstroke 25 yards, breaststroke 25 yards, butterfly 25 yards, sidestroke 10 yards, tread water for 3 minutes, and dive.
Swimmers will work on: All six strokes, front and back crawl flip turn, breaststroke turn, breaststroke speed turn and pullout, butterfly turn, sidestroke turn, pike and tuck surface dive, pike and tuck dive from board, tread water for five minutes, and basic water rescue.
Teams will compete in two swim meets vs. other UA pools. Dates and Time TBD

The Learn-to-Swim program offers American Red Cross swim lessons for ages 6 months through adult, at all skill levels. Learn-to-Swim teaches water safety skills in logical group classes at all of our facilities.
The Learn-to-Swim Program focuses on building skills one step at a time. By giving participants the opportunity to master one element before moving on to the next.
Sessions:
Participants receive 10 lessons (8 guaranteed) (Monday-Friday) 30-minute each) which teach swimming and water safety skills, including those listed below:
Water entry and exit
Breath control and underwater swimming
Buoyancy
Changing direction and position treading
Swimming on front back and side
General and personal water safety
Make up Classes:
In the event we need to cancel a lesson due to conditions out of our control (weather, mechanical etc.) we will make every attempt to schedule a make-up lesson pending availability of both instructors and facility. All make-up classes will be scheduled Saturday mornings
